Historic Hanley Farm, established in 1857, is a working farm just outside of downtown Jacksonville Oregon. Owned and operated by the Southern Oregon Historical Society, Hanley Farm strives to preserve the history of the people who settled the land and their contributions to the agricultural development of the Rogue Valley. Because this is a working farm and a museum, visitors are welcome only during Hanley public events.
Hanley Farm is a 37-acre Century Farm. Mary Hanley, one of SOHS’s founders of SOHS, gifted the farm to the historical society in 1982. Hanley Farm is listed on the National Register of Historic Sites and was recently added to the Oregon Heritage Women’s History Project Significant Site Listing.
